Robert Sarginson
I am a marine biologist and professional underwater photographer based on the Ningaloo Reef, passionate about ocean storytelling. Since graduating with an MSc from Bangor University, and a BSc from Newcastle University, I have developed a keen interest in capturing research projects and conservation stories.
During my MSc, I worked alongside Johanna Kohler in the Cayman Islands to produce a short documentary about her ongoing shark research. Alongside this, I completed a research project investigating the effects of stony coral tissue loss disease in the area.
I use photography and videography to bring research to life by sharing the powerful stories of the people behind it. So many people depend on our oceans, and I enjoy capturing how both local communities and individuals interact with them.
